REVIEW
Metal Forces No. 18 (1986)
OZ Decibel Storm (RCA)
RATING: 62
I enjoyed “Fire In The Brain” a couple of years back by this band but then deleted when the sub-average “III Warning” came out. “Decibel Storm” lies somewhere between the two; not brilliant but certainly above average with some good cuts such as ‘Eyes Of The Stranger’ with some powerful riffing but not such good vocals), ‘Exterminator’, high velocity verging on power metal and the definite thrash of ‘The Show Must Go On’. To balance though, ‘Teenage Rampage’ (the SWEET classic) is rubbish and a couple of tracks on side two are no better. So buy it if you’ve got plenty of cash to spare – if not be a bit more selective.
